Inside the cottage
The cottage was a "dependance"; home to the family’s livestock and also its employees who lived on the first floor. It now provides modern comfort, yet retains the traditional feeling of the property built around the beginning of the 19th century. The impressive stone wall has been uncovered and the beams, which have been untouched for several hundred years, now flaunt their gorgeous grains.

Downstairs is now an airy, comfortable open-plan living area with a wood burner to enjoy if you’re here in winter time. There’s a TV with Google Chromecast fitted and Wi-Fi connection is freely available to you.
The kitchen is well equipped with, amongst other things, an electric oven and full-sized hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine and there’s a good-sized fridge freezer.
The dining area adjoins the kitchen with double french doors opening directly on to the west facing terrace.
The sitting area comprises a 2-3 seater sofa and 2 club chairs, numerous low tables and a book shelf with various local maps, guide books, cook books, etc

The Terrace, immediately outside the dining area provides you with a private, tranquil area for relaxing. Being west facing, it's an ideal afternoon sun-trap. The built-in BBQ there is exclusively for your use, together with a pleasant sitting area.
There's also another terrace, also solely for your use, just opposite the Gîte which, in summer, is well shaded by a fig tree.
The property is fully fenced and gated and there is a large barn providing covered parking for 2 cars.

Upstairs - the first floor has been completely transformed with velux windows added in the double bedroom and bathroom to increase light and air flow. There is a double room, a twin room and a shower room.

The shower room includes a shower cubicle, basin, bidet and toilet.
On the landing there’s an assortment of books together with indoor & outdoor games and puzzles.
The cottage has central heating throughout.
